16 Aug Private Hard Hat Event Gives Buyers First Look Inside Second Phase at Fairways
Prospective buyers have been given an exclusive first look inside Phase Two at Fairways in Alnwick, as Wynyard Homes welcomed visitors onto the development for its Behind the Build Hard Hat Event.
Held on Saturday 15th August, the private event gave visitors a rare opportunity to pull on a hard hat and high-vis vest, walk the live development and step inside some of the luxury homes currently under construction.
Guests were taken on private guided tours of Plot 1, The Gilligan, and Plot 5, The Wood, giving them the opportunity to experience the scale of the properties, appreciate the plot sizes and take in the views surrounding the development.
The event comes at an exciting stage for Phase Two, with roofs now in place on a number of the homes and the development beginning to take shape.
Interest in the exclusive second phase is also building, with only 16 properties planned across a select collection of house types.
Lyndsey Walton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Wynyard Homes, said:
“We had a fantastic day. It was lovely to have so many people come through the door and actually walk up onto the development, because you get a completely different perspective when you’re standing there.
“The stone-built homes are beautiful from the outside, but when people step inside and see the room sizes, the plot sizes and then look out at the views, that’s when you really begin to appreciate what we’re creating here.
“People were incredibly interested and responsive on the day. Now that the roofs are on some of the properties, this is a really good time to come to Fairways and see which of the homes might be right for you.”
The second phase includes a range of substantial luxury homes designed to make the most of the unique setting.
The Gilligan, which will also become the show home for Phase Two, is an impressive five-bedroom home extending to 2,562 sq ft. Plot 1 will become the show home, with only two further Gilligan properties currently available.
Visitors also explored The Wood, a two-bedroom bungalow extending to just under 2,000 sq ft. Both bedrooms feature en-suites, while the main living space opens towards the rear garden, where an existing natural stone wall creates a striking feature within the plot.
Another house type available at Fairways is The Greenside, a substantial four-bedroom detached home of just under 2,200 sq ft. A dramatic full-height atrium at the rear brings natural light into the property, while the principal bedroom includes a walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite. Only two Greenside homes are available.

The development combines a peaceful setting with convenient access to the town, Northumberland coastline and wider transport links.
For visitors at the Hard Hat Event, seeing that setting from within the individual plots was one of the highlights of the experience.
Construction is now progressing quickly. With roofs recently added to a number of properties, Wynyard Homes expects legal completions on the current homes to begin from December through to March.
Plans are also underway to open a dedicated Phase Two show home, which Wynyard Homes hopes will be ready by the end of November or beginning of December.
Although the Behind the Build Hard Hat Event has now taken place, prospective buyers are still encouraged to arrange a visit to Fairways.
With only a select number of homes planned for Phase Two and limited availability across individual house types, buyers can visit the sales team, discuss the homes currently available and arrange an opportunity to experience the development for themselves.
