23 Jul Shilbottle Primary Pupils Visit Towerburn View to Say Thank You for Their Leavers’ Hoodies

The Year 6 pupils from Shilbottle Primary School paid a special visit to Towerburn View this week to personally thank Wynyard Homes after the housebuilder funded their 2026 leavers’ hoodies.

The children, who designed the hoodies themselves and even chose the colour, walked from the school to the nearby development alongside their Head of Year, Mr. Phillips, to thank the team for helping mark an important milestone before they begin their next chapter at The Duchess’s Community High School in Alnwick this September.

During their visit, the pupils met members of the Towerburn View construction team, including Site Manager Alex and Kevin, who were delighted to see the children proudly wearing their new hoodies.

Following the visit, the pupils headed back to school armed with water pistols, ready for an afternoon of end-of-term celebrations and a well-earned Year 6 water fight.

For Wynyard Homes, supporting the leavers’ hoodies was a small way of giving something back to the village that has welcomed Towerburn View so warmly.
